The Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas is committed to excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement has played a key role in the School’s success.

ABET EC2000 has generated enthusiasm to promote continuous improvement at the program, curriculum, and course levels.  This website is designed to provide faculty and staff a direct line to helpful ABET EC2000 documents and School-related continuous improvement materials.

ABOUT THIS WEB SITE:

A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN:

Thanks to the excellence of our faculty, the Cockrell School of Engineering is one of the best engineering programs in the country.  Our ability to continue this tradition of excellence depends on continuous improvement in everything we do.  In 2002 a program to bring a systematic, engineering approach to continuous improvement in the School was initiated.

ABET requires every engineering program seeking accreditation to demonstrate and document their continuous improvement efforts.  For us, the message behind continuous improvement is simple:  “We’re good…and we can be better!”

Dr. Ben Streetman, P.E.
Dean, College of Engineering
Dula D. Cockrell Centennial Chair in Engineering
