Students and parents who are looking for a quality education are encouraged to visit the campus as early as possible because an informed decision is often based on experience, not just written information. Students who have already selected a specific engineering major should schedule a prospective student appointment with an advisor in the specific department.

Freshmen

Prospective freshmen information sessions are led by an Academic Advisor from the Engineering Office of Student Affairs. The session begins with an informational video about the College and its history, followed by a presentation about the College by the Advisor.

Transfer Students

Prospective transfer students who have not selected a specific engineering major should schedule an advising appointment with an Office of Student Affairs Advisor by calling (512) 471-4321. Students should bring a complete list of courses that they plan on transferring to the University of Texas at Austin, so they can develop an academic plan.

Graduate Students

Prospective graduate students should arrange visits with the appropriate graduate departmental contact. Graduate Coordinators should contact Marie King, (512) 471-2125, for site visit information

Alumni

Alumni are always welcome back on campus. Please contact the Alumni Relations Office at (512) 471-3395, to schedule a visit.

Corporate

We welcome visits with industry leaders interested in building mutually advantageous research relationships. Corporate visitors should contact Mary Beth Maddox, (512) 232-3460.
