Engineering Honors Program for Current Students (Invitation Only)
After the first year, the engineering student who has completed at least 24 semester credit hours "in residence" with at least 60 semester credit hours remaining in the degree program and holds at least a 3.5 "in residence" GPA may be eligible to apply to the EHP. Selection is based on Class Rank in his or her degree plan class, "in residence" GPA in courses counted toward the degree, Extracurricular Activities, Letters of Recommendation from Faculty, and Faculty Review. Once accepted to the EHP, the student would remain in the program so long as his or her "in residence" GPA was 3.5 or higher. Evaluations will be done once each year after spring grades.
An EHP student who completes an Undergraduate Honors Thesis will receive special honors designation on his or her transcript.
