The policy of the Cockrell School of Engineering is that a student should not concurrently be registered both in The University of Texas and some other college. In a rare situation in which it is the only realistic way a student can get a given course, exceptions may be made. If a student does have concurrent registration, the courses taken at the college other than UT Austin will be countable toward the student's UT Austin engineering degree only if prior written approval has been given by the dean. Approval may be obtained by submitting an application online. Questions may be directed to the Engineering Office of Student Affairs, ECJ 2.200.
Concurrent enrollment is not permitted during the semester in which a student expects to graduate.
