Fariborz Maseeh is founder and managing principal of Picoco LLC, an investment management firm that invests in various assets and manages several hedge funds. Fariborz also is the sole founder and president of The Massiah Foundation, a charitable organization investing in transformational situations for broad public benefit.

He is a worldwide recognized expert in the field of micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS), and was the sole founder and chief executive officer of IntelliSense. It's here that Fariborz successfully created the first custom design, development and manufacturing operation of MEMS devices.

Fariborz earned his bachelor of science degree in engineering with honors and a master's degree in applied mathematics from Portland State University, a master's of science degree in engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate in science degree in engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has more than 60 publications in business strategy, fabrication technologies, design of software for MEMS and has authored a number of patents and trademarks.

Fariborz has given numerous invited talks at various organizations both in science, entrepreneurship and philanthropy. He is a recipient of several honorary medals and awards, and has served on a number of non-profit boards both as chairman and member. He currently serves on the engineering advisory boards of University of California Irvine (UCI), University of Southern California and his alma maters, PSU and MIT, and is a Trustee of UCI Foundation.
