Engineering Co-op Program... Milestones by the Minute!
Do you remember the Engineering Co-op Program? Well, it's still around and going strong! Since its inception in 1966, over 2500 students have graduated from the Program. Students continue to find the value in gaining work experience before graduation, and receiving credit and a nice salary along the way.
In recent years, the Co-op Program has grown in several areas. The office now awards the Molly Ferguson Gottlieb Memorial Scholarship to a co-op student each year, in honor of a former Co-op Coordinator. We are thankful to alumni for growing the scholarship funds each year. Additionally, co-op students now have the opportunity to be a part of Kappa Theta Epsilon (KTE) National Co-op Honor Society. KTE students are involved in a number of activities, including selling padfolios and t-shirts, hosting workshops, and promoting the Co-op Program across campus.
Although we're going strong, we wouldn't be here today without the help of alumni to promote co-op, recruit students, and share their experiences. We would like to hear from you! Please feel free to email the Co-op Office to let us know where you are and how co-op has helped you in industry. It might just help the next student that walks through our door.
