ABOUT US
The Laboratory for Molecular and Cellular Dynamics at UT Austin uses a combination of multiscale modeling and high throughput and high resolution experiments to study key problems in cancer. Our research is focused on developing and combining tools of statistical mechanics, bioinformatics, biomechanics, molecular and cell biology, imaging and mathematics to understand tumor progression and metastasis and aims to identify targets for cancer prevention through a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches.
In addition to BME, our lab is affiliated with Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology (ICMB), Institute for Theoretical Chemistry (ITC) and NSF IGERT program focused on Cellular and Molecular Imaging for Diagnostics and Therapeutics. We will soon be affiliated with Center for Systems and Synthetic Biology at UT and the Department of Cellular Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
