Did you know that engineering undergraduates at UT score higher on the verbal portion of the SAT than do liberal arts students? The Cockrell School of Engineering is proud to announce the Braden Engineering Communication Awards Ceremony to showcase our students often-underestimated communication skills. Through an endowment in honor of Robert S. Braden, a graduate of UT Civil Engineering and an avid writer, the Cockrell School of Engineering awards prizes each year in the amounts of $1500, $1000, and $500 to three undergraduate engineering students. Come and watch this year's winners present their papers on "Engineering Enhanced Sustainability - ways that engineers and and engineering can play a key role in enhancing sustainability of human activities and products such as energy, resources and the environment."

The spring 2008 Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, April 7th at 4:00 pm in the 10th Floor Large Conference Room of the Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall building on campus.
