The
Braden Engineering-Communication contest
is a School-wide event made possible
by the generosity of donors to the
Robert S. Braden Endowment Fund.
Each
year, the School issues a call
for papers and awards three prizes
to undergraduate entrants for technical-communication
excellence. The prizes are $1500, $1000, and $500.
A new contest subject
will be chosen each year to reflect
a contemporary issue, often dealing
with the social, ethical, or economic
implications of a particular engineering
application or of engineering in general.
Entries are judged by a group of engineering
graduate students chosen from each
department under the direction of
a faculty member from outside the
Cockrell School of Engineering.
