Recent Faculty Awards: Truskett
NSF CAREER Award for Energy Landscape Based Tools for Modeling Materiasl at the Nanoscale (2005).
Dr. Truskett received an NSF CAREER award for his integrated research and education plan geared toward predicting the properties of glassy materials confined to nanoscale dimensions. The research will explore the microscopic origins of stability in metallic glass nanocomposites, which are of great interest for use in biomedical, mechanical, and structural applications. The CAREER program offers NSF's most prestigious awards for new faculty members and supports the early career-development activities of those teacher-scholars who are most likely to become the academic leaders of the 21st century.
