Kelly McQueary Named 2008 James W. Vick Award for Academic Advising

Kelly McQueary has been named a recipient of the 2008 Texas Eyes' James W. Vick Award for Academic Advising. The Vick Award is the highest university honor that can be bestowed upon an advisor and was created to recognize the invaluable role that advisors play in the success of students at The University of Texas at Austin. Winners of the award are nominated and selected by the students and receive $500 and a certificate. Because the nominations are initiated and selected by the students, this is a very special award.

Amy Gilbert Won the University of Texas at Austin 2008 Staff Excellence Award

Amy Gilbert, Financial Analyst, has won a University of Texas at Austin 2008 Staff Excellence Award, which includes an honorarium of $1500. This award is given in recognition of her consistent, high-level of performance. You may recall that Amy won the Cockrell School of Engineering Staff Excellence Award llast year.
