Thomas Truskett Selected for AIChE Colburn Award; Will also Present Van Ness Award Lectures at RPI
Professor Thomas Truskett has been selected as the recipient of the 2007 Allan P. Colburn Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. The Colburn Award honors a member of the institute, under 36 years of age, for excellence in publications. He is the fourth UT faculty member to receive this prestigious award since 1980.The award will be presented at AIChE's Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Professor Truskett has also been selected to present the 2007 Hendrick C. Van Ness Award Lectures on October 10th and 11th, 2007, in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. More>

Professor James Chelikowsky has been elected as 2007 fellow of AAAS for contributions to the basic understanding of properties of materials through theoretical calculations, and for excellence in teaching, lecturing and writing.
