  1. Keys: Once you have an office, go to Kevin Haynes in CPE 1.450B to get form to get keys

Each new student is also an employee of the University of Texas at Austin, AS WELL as a full time student. 

Therefore, you are required to fill out documents as an employee to receive monies as promised to you.

You will be paid the first working day of each month; HOWEVER, your first paycheck will be issued on

October 1, 2009.  If you find yourself in need of monies, please stop by the graduate office.

 

International students ONLY:     

1.     Get a permanent address and bank account set up

2.     Report to the International Office for processing (bring your visa and passport)

3.     Proceed to the ESL (English as a second Language) and sign up to take the oral and workshop

        class.  The ESL office is located in the International Office where you will check in.

4.     You will then come to CPE 3.408 and speak with the Graduate Co coordinator.

              You may have a $10 fee, if so pay it.  When you leave UT you will be reimbursed.

              You will receive a packet in the departmental orientation.  If you do not fill out the

              forms and return to the graduate office by September 28, 2009, your selections

              will default to the basic coverage.

              When you choose a professor, the professor will do an electronic key request for

              you to get keys to what you need.

12.   Departmental Training

              There will be computer courses one must take.  You will be given a list of those

              in the departmental orientation.  You cannot go into a laboratory until all courses

              are complete.
