Scholarship Award Process for Incoming and Transfer Students

Scholarship Information for Incoming Freshman

Incoming high school students who are making application to The University of Texas for the following year may apply for scholarships through the Office of Student Financial Services. Their homepage is http://www.utexas.edu/student/finaid/index.html. To make application, click on Entering Undergraduates (the first link on the left-hand column). This will take you to a page of highly useful links to investigate. To actually fill out the application, click on Applying & Deadlines (the second link from the top). Then click on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in the box to the right.

All scholarships for incoming freshman in the College of Engineering will be awarded based on this application. You may visit the Engineering Scholarship Office homepage at http://www.engr.utexas.edu/scholarships/fyapp.cfm.

Scholarship Information for Transfer Students

Students attending other colleges and universities who will transfer to the University of Texas for the following year can apply for scholarships through the College of Engineering Scholarship Office. The application is available on the College of Engineering website. Go to http://www.engr.utexas.edu/scholarships/tranapp.cfm. This page will explain scholarship application procedures and opportunities for new transfer students.
