For a successful career in modern industry, engineers must possess a wide range of skills above and beyond a strong background in science and engineering. Entrepreneurial skills are a vital addition to the knowledge base of engineers in the workplace. The Murchison Chair of Free Enterprise would like to recognize a core group of faculty at The University of Texas at Austin who seek to prepare engineering students by providing them the technology commercialization and entrepreneurial training that is necessary to be successful.
