Mission:
The Murchison Chair of Free Enterprise initiated its activities in and has grown with the support of the Engineering Foundation Advisory Council (EFAC) for the Dean of the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
The Chair of Free Enterprise has been charged with the following missions:
To examine the links between the free enterprise system and areas such as business management, governmental affairs, social sciences, technological development and entrepreneurship in general.
Assist in the education of the next generation of leaders in the engineering profession
Assist in the creation, exploration, and development of innovations in engineering science and technology
Provide beneficial service to the local, state, national, and international communities with respect to free enterprise and in particular engineering enterprise.
