All Engineering Students, Staff, and Faculty are eligible to obtain an account that provides access to a variety of services including file space, web publishing and access to labs.
Students
There are several classrooms and labs in Cockrell School of Engineering available for student use. Every student that is currently in an Engineering major or enrolled in an Engineering class is eligible for 1 GB of home directory disk space. You will need to enable your EID for this service.

Staff
An Engineering Staff account gives you access to the following:
- File space
- Outlook/Exchange mailbox
- Cockrell School of Engineering Computer Labs -- for seminars
- Teaching Consoles -- for making presentations in classrooms (in CPE, ECJ, ENS, ETC, WRW)
Faculty
> Request a faculty account and/or Outlook/Exchange mailbox
An Engineering Faculty account gives you access to the following:
- File space (10 GB - with regular backups)
- Web publishing
- Outlook/Exchange mailbox (1 GB - with regular backups)
- Cockrell School of Engineering Computer Labs
- Teaching Consoles (in CPE, ECJ, ENS, ETC, WRW)
