The multimedia desk in this room is designed as a “dual projection” system. . Users can send these VIDEO SOURCES to the LEFT or RIGHT screen
- CPU (with CD/DVD )
- Laptop
- Document Camera (Doc Cam)
- VCR.
The RIGHT and LEFT PROJECTORS are powered on/off with buttons located within the TOUCH PANEL CONTROL DISPLAY.
AUDIO VOLUME levels are adjusted at the control panel as well.
Switching between VIDEO SOURCES for each projector is done by pressing the specific video source buttons (PC, Doc Cam, Laptop, VCR) found on the left hand side of the main control display.
Getting Started…Turning On the Right and Left Projector
- Touch the flat panel monitor to activate it.
- When you see the CoE Ramshorn logo, touch the screen once again.
- Enter the password into the numeric keypad for the touch panel.
- Next, you’ll see the MAIN CONTROL PANEL for the system.
- Press the SYSTEM POWER button (on the left edge of main control display)
- Touch the SYSTEM POWER ON box just under SYSTEM POWER CONTROL. Each data projector (LEFT and RIGHT) will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- When you see a solid blue screen, the projectors are ready for use.
The UP/DOWN switches for the two video screens are on the wall near the writing surfaces.
Press the PC button to view the console PC—The PC button is on the left edge of main control display. The center of the touch screen will indicate your selection. This area is called the PREVIEW IMAGE. The PREVIEW IMAGE can be brought to full screen by touching the image. Touching the full-screen image again will return or take you back to the main control display.
Press the DOCUMENT CAMERA button to view the WolfVision VZ-9 Doc Cam—The DOCUMENT CAMERA will turn on automatically and adjust to a preset frame setting. The focus and zoom & power controls just under the PREVIEW IMAGE in the main control display. Touch POWER OFF to power off the doc cam.
Press the LAPTOP button to view the laptop—Connect your laptop to the LAPTOP VGA cable located on the side of the console or inside a cable cubby. Then activate the laptop video output by pressing the FN and F8 keys simultaneously.
Note: The function keys vary on different laptops. If you see a blank screen or blue screen with the ‘No-Input’ message then you may need to press the function key on your laptop keyboard that lets you display on an external monitor. Try holding down the Fn and F8 key (or on some laptops F7) simultaneously to send the signal to the projector. Using this key combination lets you toggle between the LCD screen and the projector or display on both screens at the same time. Allow a few seconds for the projector to sync up after changing the setting.
Make sure your laptop display settings are at 1024 x 768 to match the projector specifications. High laptop resolution settings may result in image distortions (images that are compressed, stretched, partially cut or don’t fill the display area)
Press VCR or DVD to view a video tape or DVD—Insert the tape or disk into the video machine. You can control the VCR by selecting the various motion buttons (Play, Stop, Rewind, etc) in the center of the touch panel.
Volume Adjustments—To adjust volume for the PC, DVD, VCR, Laptop or microphone—Locate ROOM VOLUME and then touch either “Up arrow” (louder)” or “Down arrow (quieter)”. The green-colored gauge will move in the direction according to your selection. This console has a wireless microphone. Adjust the volume level at this panel by pressing “Microphone” UP or DOWN. To ensure that you get sound out of the wall mounted speakers, make sure the “MUTE” box is not selected.
About PREVIEW IMAGE—The center of the touch screen, called the PREVIEW IMAGE, will indicate your selection. The PREVIEW IMAGE can be brought to “full screen” by touching the image. Touching the full-screen image again will return or take you back to the main control display.
Sending video to LEFT or RIGHT SCREENS—Because the system is a ‘dual projection’ system, you can send any video source to one or two screens. Press the LEFT or RIGHT SCREEN to send signal to a specific screen. You can also split the screens and send separate signals to different screens. Most commonly, you’ll Press SEND TO BOTH SCREENS to see one video source to two screens.
Press SYSTEM POWER to turn on & off the projector—The System Power button is located on left edge of main control display, then touch SYSTEM POWER OFF box (just under the SYSTEM POWER CONTROL).
Press “Yes-I’m Done” to complete the shut down process.
