In the event of accidential or unexpected data loss for files stored by faculty and staff on the College file server, ITG provides the capability to restore to a previous version of that file or folder.
The file server creates automatic backups everyday at 5 a.m. and noon. So, if you accidentially deleted a file at 9 a.m., you could return to the version of that folder from 5 a.m.
Restoring Files
- To restore deleted or altered files, highlight the folder you wish to restore. Click the View previous versions task in the File and Folder Tasks task box. You may also right-click on the folder you highlighted and select Properties.

- Select the version that you wish to use and click Restore. This version of the folder will replace the version on the server.
