Faculty/Staff File Services
disk.austin.utexas.edu

The Cockrell School of Engineering is migrating to Austin Disk Services. Folders are located at \\disk.austin.utexas.edu\root\engr.  See the listing below for specific folder locations:

Dean's Office:  \\disk.austin.utexas.edu\root\engr\DOE
CTR Research Center:  \\disk.austin.utexas.edu\root\engr\Research\CTR

Note:  In the instructions below, yourPath, is the path after engr.

Files and folders in are protected by permissions that do not allow others to view the information.

Disk Quotas

The default quotas for faculty and staff personal folders are 10 GB and 5 GB respectively. If you reach your quota, you will get an error message indicating that you do not have permissions to write or "disk is read only". You will need to remove files to get back within your quota.

To check the size of your personal folder, highlight all files and folders in the Windows Explorer (Ctrl-A) and then simultaneously press Alt-Enter. You will see the total amount of space used in your folder. If it's at or greater than your quota, then the system won't let you save anything until you remove some data.
