Blackberry 8800

"Blackberry" refers to a handheld device that can be used to remotely check your e-mail and calendar appointments.  Essentially, it functions as a mobile extension of Outlook.  The installation/setup and troubleshooting of this device is provided by ITG Service Desk.  A service, similar to a cell phone service, must be purchased and is charged on a monthly basis.  At present, ITG currently utilizes service provided by AT&T (formerly Cingular).  If you are interested in a pre-purchasing consultation from ITG, feel free to contact the ITG Service Desk at 232-2486.

Blackberry Tethering

Have you ever needed to connect to the internet with your laptop, but haven’t been near a hotspot to connect? Your Blackberry can be used to connect your laptop to the internet. This is known as tethering with your Blackberry, and by following these instructions you will be able to connect your laptop to the internet using your BlackBerry.
