Blackberry Tips and Tricks
In The Message List:
- ALT-i: show only incoming mail
- ALT-o: show only outgoing mail (messages you have sent - i.e. checkmark icon)
- ALP-p: show phone log messages
- ALT-s: show SMS messages
- ALT-v: show VoiceMail messages
Navigating In The Message List:
- t: go to top of message list
- b: go to the end/bottom of message listing
- backspace: close message listing and return to home screen
- spacebar: page down
- cap + spacebar: page up
While In A Message:
- enter or spacebar: scroll down one page/screen at a time
- ALT-enter or ALT-spacebar: scroll back one page/screen at a time
- b: scroll to end of page
- t: scroll to top of page
- u: jump to closest unread message
- n: jump to next message
- p: jump to previous message
Troubleshooting:
If your Blackberry stops receiving messages, it may need a hard reboot. To accomplish this, take of the cover in back of the device. Remove the battery and SIM chip. Wait approximately 30 seconds, then replace battery and SIM chip.
