Internet Explorer 7 Frequently Asked Questions

My internet window looks different. Why?
Microsoft has released the latest version of Internet Explorer, and ITG is working to deploy this new technology to our customers.
Where is the "Home" (Alt+M) button now?
You will find the "Home" button to the left of your screen on the toolbar menu. It is a small 'house' image. Home icon from IE7
Why is my menu bar missing?
The menu bar is an option that can be turned on and off as a preference by the user. Select Tools, toolbars, and click on Menu bar.
Where is the STOP download button?

The "stop" or (X) button has been moved to the end of the 'address' bar.
Where is the "refresh" button?
The "refresh" button can be found just to the left of the "STOP" button at the end of the web address bar.
Where did the "LINKS" toolbar go?
The "LINKS" toolbar is an optional feature and can be activated by selecting Tools, Toolbars, and clicking on "Links".
How do I view more than one TAB at a time?
Tile view icon in IE7The instant you have opened a second TAB in IE-7, you get a button on your TAB bar (next to the Add Favorites) that looks like four small buttons in a box. Click this icon and the TABs opened in your browser will be shown on the screen in a 'tile' format.
How do I close one TAB only?
Simply click the "x" that appears to the right of the TAB.

Can I save the TABs before logging off the computer?
Yes. When you select exit (from FILE or selecting the "x" in the upper right corner) a dialog box appears. Select "Show Options" in the lower left corner and select "Open these the next time I use Internet Explorer" and click Close Tabs.
