The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) was established in 1992 to recruit and retain female engineering students, to increase the percentage of female engineering graduates, and to provide a supportive structure that encourages the success of women in the College of Engineering at UT. WEP’s programs include pre-college outreach programs, design derbies, topical luncheons, career and personal development workshops and seminars, and opportunities to network with corporate representatives.

WEP encourages corporate participation and partnership at all levels in an effort to recruit and retain women in engineering. Corporate participation and financial support is vital to the success of our programs.
