Faculty Advising
Faculty members are a valuable academic advising resource for students. Most faculty are willing to meet with students throughout the academic year to discuss any of the areas listed below. The student should identify a faculty member in the engineering area of interest by consulting upper division students, the department undergraduate office and the department chair’s office or by perusing the Faculty Portraits and Bios website, which lists faculty members’ areas of expertise. The student should then make an appointment to meet the faculty member during his or her office hours. This type of advising should be done several weeks in advance of the University advising period.
