The Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) at The University of Texas at Austin is a nationally affiliated student organization devoted to providing architectural and civil engineering students with a link of communication to companies.  In addition to helping cultivate networks, AEI supplies engineering students with support for academics, opportunities for hands-on experience, and professional development in the engineering industry.  AEI plans and runs many ArchE events throughout the year such as cookouts and service projects that allow members of the department to interact and become friends.

Phi Alpha Epsilon is the architectural engineering honor society at The University of Texas at Austin. The goal of Phi Alpha Epsilon is to provide a relaxed environment where exceptional students can develop an interactive bridge between the architecture and engineering professions.  Phi Alpha Epsilon also searches for ways to serve and support the surrounding community.  Membership is extended to juniors and seniors in the top quarter of their class with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  In addition to maintaining a high grade point average, members must also take part in community service project and actively participate in Phi Alpha Epsilon related activities.
