    - An externship is an opportunity for students to spend a day w/ an engineering company during the winter break. You get to see first-hand what professionals, in your major, do on a daily basis.
     - Note: Applying online for Externship does not obligate you to participate, it simply indicates your interest.

    = Course meets weekly (Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm)
    = Prerequisite: Must have completed 1 year at UT Austin
    = This seminar counts for 2 credit hours.
    = This seminar will be taken as a Pass/Fail Course.

    Dynamic speakers from diverse backgrounds will lead interactive sessions that stimulate thought provoking discussion and personal growth.  Sessions will introduce concepts that include (but are not limited to):

  • Office of Student Life seeks Juniors & Seniors to server on Engineering Leadership Team (website)
    - In spring 2009, OSL will offer “Ramshorn Retreats".  The focus of the half-day, on-campus retreats will be “What does it mean to be an Engineering LEADER?” and will provide opportunities for the first year students to begin exploring leadership from an engineering point of view.
    - Retreats will involve small group discussions led by upper division students on the “Engineering Leadership Team”.
