     - An externship is an opportunity for students to spend a day w/ an engineering company during the winter break. You get to see first-hand what professionals, in your major, do on a daily basis.
     - Note: Applying online for Externship does not obligate you to participate, it simply indicates your interest.

  • EOE Career Development & Leadership Seminar
    GE 279L (Unique #12995)
    offered in Spring 2009 (website)
    = Course meets weekly (Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm)
    = Prerequisite: Must have completed 1 year at UT Austin
    = This seminar counts for 2 credit hours.
    = This seminar will be taken as a Pass/Fail Course.
    = Sample syllabus from Fall 2008 CDL Seminar.
    Dynamic speakers from diverse backgrounds will lead interactive sessions that stimulate thought provoking discussion and personal growth.  Sessions will introduce concepts that include (but are not limited to):
    = Building Confidence & Presence
    = Self Marketing & Promotion
    = How to Win Friends and Influence People
    = Emotional Intelligence
    = Working in and Leading Effective Teams
    This is a great personal development seminar for 2nd and 3rd year engineering students.  If you are interested in taking the seminar in Spring 2009, please register for GE 279L (Unique #12995)

    1.) Register w/ our Engineering Career Assistance Center (ECAC) and create a resume.  Every week, review the interview calendar and submit your resume (each Friday before 4pm) to complete for on campus interviews.
