Registration is full.
Longhorn Engineering is a free campus event for high school seniors who are
interested in learning how engineering is shaping our world and bringing ideas
to life. African-American, Hispanic, and Native American students, as well
as those who have overcome social or economic hardship are encouraged to
participate. Longhorn Engineering is open to all students with an interest
in engineering, math, and science. Parents will have the option of
attending a parent session geared specifically for them.
Come spend the day with us and...
- Interact with student leaders of Pi Sigma Pi Minority Academic Engineering Society, National Society of Black Engineers, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
- Learn about the UT scholarship, housing, and admissions process
- Discover the endless opportunities the Cockrell School of Engineering can offer you such as study abroad, research opportunities, First-Year Interest Groups, and more!
- Have lunch with UT students, staff, and faculty
- Learn what it takes to be a successful engineering student and get answers to your burning questions about engineering, UT Austin, and student life!

9:30 AM - Check In
10:00 AM - Introductions and Welcome
10:15 AM - Cockrell School of Engineering Overview
*10:15 AM - 11:30 AM - Optional Parent Session/Admissions Info
11:00 AM - Longhorns Tell It Like It Is - Engineering Student Panel
12 Noon - Laid-back Longhorn Lunch with UT students, faculty, and staff
1:00 PM - Door Prizes and conclusion of event
Optional dorm tours: Jester Residence Hall at 3:30 pm
San Jacinto Residence Hall at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Click
