Nationally known, non-profit, student-run organization whose main objective is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. |

SHPE inspires involvement from engineering professionals, industry, universities, and students. SHPE is a national organization of 137 student chapters and 38 professional chapters. |

There are more than 40 student organizations in the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT Austin. |
