Alumni & Friends

The Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Program builds community and promotes the academic success of engineering students at UT Austin. Personal identity and community are important not only to the developmental transition from adolescence to adulthood, but also to the academic success of college students. For several students, being integrated into the large Cockrell School of Engineering community can be challenging, but is essential to their success.

As our  student community grows, we would like to extend an invitation to you and your unique perspective as alumni to be an active part of this community. Listed below are ways that you can get involved with EOE and give back to EOE & the Cockrell School of Engineering.

Join EOE's campaign to build an endowment for student development initiatives & scholarships.   Help ensure the future success of engineering students by contributing to the Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program.

  • Time is an invaluable and finite commodity.  So is the wisdom garnered from alumni. Interested in sharing your wisdom by volunteering for EOE?  Please fill out this survey (coming soon) to help us determine what event will suit you and your interests.

The Cockrell School of Engineering's Open Mentoring program helps students (mentees) find alumni and industry mentors who can answer questions and provide guidance on a variety of topics and questions.  The process is mentee-driven with mentees initiating and managing contact with mentors.
