The Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program, along with student members of the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Pi Sigma Pi Engineering Academic Society, is pleased to offer MITE: Introduction to Engineering 2009. MITE is a free, five-day residential program that presents current high school sophomores and juniors (2008-09 academic year) with the opportunity to discover engineering through hands-on experiences and interactions with engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni.

MITE is open to students with strong interests in engineering, science or math. Fifty students will be selected to attend each session. In state and out of state students may apply.

Outstanding African American, Hispanic and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome any social or economic hardship are strongly encouraged to apply. All students are welcome to apply.

Student participants are housed in a campus dorm. All program expenses (including housing & food) are paid for with the exception of travel to and from
