Longhorn Engineering is a free, half-day campus visit for high school seniors interested in learning how engineering is shaping our world and bringing ideas to life. African-American, Hispanic, and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome social or economic hardship, are encouraged to participate. Longhorn Engineering is open to all students interested in engineering, math, and science. Parents will have the option of attending a parent session geared specifically for them. All events are held on the UT Austin campus.
Come spend the day with us and:
- Interact with student leaders of Pi Sigma Pi Minority Academic Engineering Society, National Society of Black Engineers, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
- Learn about the university's scholarship, housing, and admissions process.
- Discover the endless opportunities the Cockrell School offers such as study abroad, research opportunities, First-Year Interest Groups, and more.
- Have lunch with university students, staff, and faculty.
