Un Sabado Gigante in Engineering

We encourage all schools and educators to consider attending the Texas Science and Engineering Festival.  The FREE two-day expo will be held on November 5-6, 2011 at the Austin Convention Center and will feature more than 100 nationally and locally acclaimed exhibitors who will display their technology to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.  The 2011 Festival is organized by MAES.  MAES, Inc.     www.maes-natl.org

Un Sabado Gigante in Engineering is a free outreach initiative designed to expose 500-plus Austin-area middle school students to science, technology, engineering, and math through a day of hands-on activities led by practicing engineers. This event includes a parent workshop, which will provide information to parents about helping their children plan and prepare for college. The goal of Un Sabado is to bring together engineers and other professionals and inspire and encourage students to pursue careers in technical fields such as engineering.  For more information, visit www.unsabado.org.
