Using what you have learned from the dilemma concerning DEHP, collaborate with three other members in the class to recommend an optimal plasticizer to the manufacturing company. Choose whether DEHP or an alternative plasticizer would be most advantageous for the catheter tubing. The basis of your choice will depend on scientific knowledge, ethical issues, and perspectives of all the stakeholders concerning the plasticizer. Your final report should be addressed to the hospital board and should be in the form of a proposal with the criteria specified by your instructor. Keep in mind that the board consists of both doctors and administrators that run the hospital.
