Associate Dean, Dr. David S. Dolling
David S. Dolling is the Joe C. Walter Endowed Chair in Engineering. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
Dr. Dolling specializes in experimental gas dynamics and aerodynamics at supersonic and hypersonic speeds. His current work focuses on shock-induced turbulent separated flows and unsteady cavity flows. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1983. He has two years of industrial experience and has published more than 100 technical articles and reports. Dr. Dolling is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) and The Royal Aeronautical Society, and serves as Vice-President (Publications) of AIAA.
