Dr. Engelhardt earned his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in structural engineering in 1988 before joining the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin in 1989.
Dr. Engelhardt specializes in the behavior and design of steel structures. His areas of specialization include seismic-resistant design of steel structures and behavior of steel structures subjected to fire.
