Dr. C. Michael Walton researches intelligent transportation systems and intermodal freight logistics in addition to transportation systems engineering, planning, operations and policy analysis. He has published more than 250 articles and reports, and has presented more than 400 technical lectures, presentations and keynote addresses. Dr. Walton is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the nation's highest honor for engineering professionals, and has received numerous national and international honors and awards for his research contributions.
