Planned Giving

Never before have the conditions for making a planned gift been so favorable. Naming UT Engineering as a beneficiary in your estate plans has allowed many alumni and friends of this college to give back to the place they love even in a suppressed economy. A low interest rate environment has influenced a number of donors to establish income-producing gifts such as charitable gift annuities, or charitable remainder trusts, which benefit them during their lifetimes with up-front income tax savings and often a higher income, while ultimately supporting UT Engineering.

The University of Texas at Austin has assembled a top-notch team of Planned Giving experts, all available to assist alumni and friends of the university with their gift planning goals. The College of Engineering encourages all alumni to consider including UT Engineering in their wills for a certain dollar amount or a percentage of their residual estate. We also encourage you to contact either the Engineering Development office or the Planned Giving office directly so that we may assist you with your plans.

All donors who share with us their intention to include UT Engineering in their estate plans will become members of the Ramshorn Chapter of the Texas Leadership Society. A commemorative glass plaque with the time-honored ramshorn will be sent to you immediately.
