Access the convenience of secure online giving through The University's giving page. Be sure to choose "Engineering, College of" in the 1st pull down box!
- Stock Transfer (PDF)
A gift of appreciated stock is an excellent way to support the School, simultaneously avoiding capital gains tax and taking a charitable deduction. If stock is held with a broker, the donor should advise the broker that he or she wants to make a gift to the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System for the use and benefit of The University of Texas at Austin. Preferably, (PDF) this request should be on the stock transfer form or can be in the form of a letter, which should contain the following information:
- Name of the stock to be transferred
- Number of shares
- Donor’s name and address
- Donor’s brokerage account number
- The specific designation of the gift within the UT: (e.g., Cockrell School of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Women in Engineering Program)
In the letter to the broker, it is advisable for the donor to copy the Engineering Foundation at:
