“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.” – Cicero
Simply saying thank you does not begin to express the heartfelt gratitude the Cockrell School students, faculty and staff feel toward our generous benefactors. Every gift helps the Cockrell School move one step closer to being the best public engineering program in the country. Read letters from our students and faculty about the impact a single gift has made in their lives, and how they are living their gratitude by making a difference in the world.
To honor our donors, both the Cockrell School and The University of Texas at Austin offer a number of different recognition programs. Each program is designed to thank our donors for choosing to support the university in their own unique way.
Annually, the Cockrell School hosts the Endowed Presidential Fellowship and Scholarship Dinner to honor the donors and the outstanding recipients of these prestigious awards. This year's dinner is scheduled for April 13, 2011. Additional event details are coming soon. We deeply appreciate all of the Cockrell School scholarship and fellowship donors. The Ramshorn Chapter of the Texas Leadership Society honors donors who share their intention to include UT Engineering in their estate plans. A commemorative glass plaque with the time-honored ramshorn will be sent to you immediately. The School also hosts biennial luncheons for members in Austin, Dallas and Houston.
Littlefield Society honors donors whose gifts to all areas on campus total $25,000 or more, a pledge of $25,000 or more to be paid in 5 years, or a $50,000 minimum estate gift commitment.
President's Associates honors donors who make an unrestricted gift of $2,000 or more annually to the Office of the President. Donors 35 years of age or younger or faculty and staff of the University may qualify with an unrestricted gift of $750.
Texas Leadership Society honors donors who give through their estate or another type of future gift.
