What IAESTE Achieves for Companies:

  • Provide you with a hard working and technically qualified student to fill a summer internship position
  • Promote your company as an educational, charitable, and socially enriching firm
  • Encourage and inspire current company employees to learn from various technologies, customs, and languages brought by an international student intern.

General Outline of Overall Process:

  • Local IAESTE chapters worldwide raise summer positions
  • Companies provide specific qualifications and requirements desired for the position
  • National chapters provide a listing of jobs to interested students
  • The national chapter for USA chooses a student from a highly competitive and qualified pool of candidates provided by IAESTE.
  • The company can accept or reject the nomination from the national chapter, and then the national chapter will provide the company with another nomination
  • Company interviews are often conducted by phone, if desired.

IAESTE Provides:

  • Companies with a resume, college transcript, essay, and general application from candidates or a student directly, if desired by the firm
  • A special work visa for the student to come abroad
  • Housing, social activities, and transportation arrangements for the chosen candidate

Companies Provide:

  • A minimum salary of minimum wage for the student
  • A processing fee to the national chapter
  • A great working environment for the student
