THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN AND CONACYT CALL FOR PROPOSALS THROUGH THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR NANOTECHNOLOGY AND ADVANCED MATERIALS BETWEEN UT AUSTIN AND MEXICAN INSTITUTIONS IN THE AREAS OF SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING.
The University of Texas at Austin and the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia de Mexico (CONACYT) have created a center, the International Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (ICNAM), to foster collaboration between UT- Austin and Mexican Faculty in the areas of: Nanostructured Materials Nanoparticles Novel nanomaterials (nanowires, fullerenes, nanotubes, etc.) Modeling and simulations for applications to clean energy, biosensing, electronics, photonics, molecular machines, and environmental and other impacts of nanotechnologies on humans.
The intent of the program is to provide seed money for writing collaborative proposals in the following areas (including generation of preliminary results and proposal preparation):
It is anticipated that the result of this seed money will be proposals to US and Mexican Grant agencies such as NSF, NIH, DOE, CONACYT, and industrial and private foundations.
Rules and Criteria.
Proposals should be presented in the office of the ICNAM located at NST 1.206D or with the Director, Miguel Jose Yacaman in CPE 5.404.
