Microsoft Office 2010 News

Exploring Office 2010 has begun with several of the IT staff in the Information Technology Group and we are finding some new features, reacquainting ourselves with old friends, and getting ready to meet the needs of our customers when this application software finds its way into the administrative environments at the Cockrell School of Engineering.

"Look for an Outlook makeover that will make it far easier to cut through e-mail overload and keep up with the ever-expanding group of contacts", according to Preston Gralla of Computerworld.

One of the newest additions to the Office 2010 lineup is the OneNote application that has become a part of the core Office suite.  The other new features in Office 2010 include an improved Ribbon that will not work across all Office applications, and some very useful new PowerPoint tools for giving Internet-based presentations and handling video.  We will be interested in hearing comments about your interaction with these tools as the application software becomes available in our tech tools.  Check back soon for more Microsoft Office 2010 news.
