Information Technology Services (ITS) offers free web publishing services for HTML pages through their WebSpace offering. All students automatically receive a WebSpace account that can be used for web publishing and file storage. General information on WebSpace can be found at the ITS website.
ITS also provides a more robust Unix-based web publishing option for a yearly fee.
Student Organzations that are registered with the Dean of Students are eligible to publish websites with ITS under studentorgs.utexas.edu. Instructions to get set up are available on the ITS website.
Any student organization that currently publishes a website under studentorgs.engr.utexas.edu should consult our SFTP instructions page to learn how to access their web publishing space. A list of organizations publishing at studentorgs.engr.utexas.edu is available on the instructions page.
Faculty members interested in developing websites to support their teaching and research should contact the ITG service desk to arrange a consultation.
The University Blog Service is also available to faculty for web publishing.
SharePoint is a web-based collaborative tool to facilitate: document sharing and versioning, calendaring/scheduling, online discussions, event coordination, knowledge sharing, and issue management.
Students need to enable their EIDs to access Engineering labs, 500Mb of data storage and printing services.
