Dr. Ronald Barr receives Distinguished Service Award

     Dr. Ronald E. Barr, professor of mechanical engineering, received the Distinguished Service Award presented by the Engineering Design Graphics Division of the American Society of Engineering Education.

     The Distinguished Service Award is presented to an active member of the Engineering Design Graphics Division who has made outstanding contributions not only to American Society of Engineering Education, but also to the engineering and educational professions.

     Barr specializes in computer graphics modeling. His research seeks to create a three-dimensional database, to serve as the hub for all related engineering activities on a project, from solid models to engineering drawings to rapid prototyping. He is a recognized international leader in the field of engineering graphics education.
