UT Engineers to Receive Faculty Awards

     The University of Texas at Austin Engineering Foundation will present seven professors with the Engineering Foundation Faculty Award. Selection is based on exceptional accomplishments in one or more of the following areas: overall program development, teaching excellence, research leadership, graduate student program development, and management and counseling. Recipients are:

  • Dr. Ross Baldick, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering;
  • Dr. David S. Dolling, professor and department chair of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics and the Werner W. Dornberger Centennial Fellow in Engineering;
  • Dr. Robert B. Gilbert, assistant professor of civil engineering;
  • Dr. Russell T. Johns, assistant professor of petroleum and geosystems engineering;
  • Dr. John Kallinderis, associate professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics and the William J. Murray Jr. Fellow in Engineering No. 1;
  • Dr. Douglas R. Lloyd, professor of chemical engineering and the Eli H. and Ramona Thornton Centennial Fellow in Engineering;
  • Dr. Kristin L. Wood, associate professor of mechanical engineering and the June and Gene Gillis Endowed Faculty Fellow in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
