New UT Engineering Professor Elected Fellow of Academy

     Dr. K. Ravi-Chandar, a University of Texas at Austin engineering mechanics professor, has recently been elected fellow of the American Academy of Mechanics.  He began teaching for UT Austin in Fall 2000 when he became associate director of the Center for Mechanics of Solids, Structures, and Materials.  He also serves on the steering committee of the Texas Materials Institute.
