Three University of Texas at Austin engineering students received scholarships and fellowships from the Texas Space Grant Consortium, a group of 35 institutions including universities, industrial and non-profit organizations and government agencies within Texas that “are joined to ensure that the benefits of space research and technology are available to all Texans.”

Isaac Boxx, an aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics master’s candidate, received a graduate fellowship of $5,000 to supplement half-time support for one year beginning in fall 2003. The award may be renewed for up to three years, provided the recipient has spent no more than two of those years as a master’s candidate. Daniella Bryant, a junior aerospace engineering honors student and Philip Eckhoff, a senior aerospace engineering honors student, received undergraduate scholarships of $1,000 each.
