Sean O’Kelly, associate director of the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory,
was selected to chair the International Atomic Energy Agency Technical Working Group
on Research Reactors. This advisory group serves programs supporting the operation
and use of research reactors worldwide. The Technical Working Group on Research
Reactors (TWGRR) represents senior international experts in the areas of research
reactor operation, utilization, maintenance, refurbishment, modernization, fuel
management, nuclear fuel cycle, quality assurance and new designs. O’Kelly represents
the United States among the 20 countries participating.
